The founding story

In 2016, the idea wasn't thermal monitoring or eldercare software. The idea was coffee.

A farmer in Colombia spends $100,000 to produce and export a crop. It arrives in the United States not matching what was expected — wrong quality, wrong quantity, takes months to sell through. Nobody knows why. The farmer doesn't know who bought the coffee. The roaster doesn't know who grew it. The consumer doesn't know anything about the chain that got their cup to them.

The insight: every actor in that chain was operating blind. Not because the information didn't exist — it did, somewhere — but because there was no shared view. No digital identity for the farmer, the processor, the shipper, the roaster, the café. No way to see the whole system.

That insight became LinkedTIERRA. The name comes from the idea of linking tierra — land, earth, origin — to the people and systems that depend on it. We didn't know the term 'digital twin' yet. We just knew the morphology was always the same, and the problem was always visibility.

From 2016 to 2024, we built the methodology by hand. Lean Six Sigma engagements. VBA automation. Systems assessments. Process engineering. A&M Mattress Co. in Houston. Connect Community during COVID. Real clients, real problems, real outcomes. We learned that the methodology worked in every system we touched — industrial, commercial, human.

In 2024, the platform launched. The manual work became software. The coffee thesis became Thermal and Care. The morphology insight became a platform architecture that can serve any complex system — in any industry — without rebuilding from scratch.

The morphology insight

Producer

The origin actor. Farmer, equipment operator, elderly person, artist.

Transformer

Adds value through work. Processor, caregiver, roaster, maintenance.

Quality

Verifies integrity. Cupping room, EHS director, doctor, gallery.

Logistics

Multi-leg movement. Farm to port to warehouse to retailer.

Manager

Coordinates the system. Operations, care coordinator, export manager.

Final commercial touchpoint. Café, agency, retailer, inspector.
